A boardroom and a university hall ask different things of a speaker. So does a faith community, a professional gathering or a room of emerging leaders. The subjects may vary, but what carries across them is the material itself: ideas worth considering, questions worth asking, and perspectives that invite people to see their work, responsibilities and communities differently.
I write to explore the questions that continue to shape my thinking.
The subjects vary, but they often return to leadership, faith, character, legacy and the responsibilities that come with influence. At the heart of it all is judgment: how we think, decide and lead when the answers are not obvious.
Serving on Boards allows me to contribute to the governance of institutions while carrying the same responsibilities I encourage other leaders to uphold.
Board service requires sound judgment, thoughtful stewardship and collective accountability. It has deepened my understanding of Board dynamics, strengthened my appreciation for effective governance and enriched the perspectives that I bring to my advisory work.
